At iGA Istanbul Airport, one of Europe’s busiest aviation hubs, the Karsan Autonomous e-ATAK, automated by ADASTEC, demonstrated how SAE Level-4 automated mobility can support complex apron-side transportation needs. ✈️🇹🇷
Integrated with ADASTEC’s automated driving software platform, https://t.co/CV9NOraDkW, the automated bus operated on a route between the Turkish Airlines Operations Center – Crew Terminal and the Smart Cargo Area, in front of the SMARTIST Building, as part of the overall 11-kilometer route.
This scenario simulated the transportation of shift teams to their working areas while the automated bus navigated a highly dynamic airport environment with service vehicles, operational traffic, security-sensitive areas, and mission-critical workflows.
This deployment highlights ADASTEC’s ability to support demanding airport mobility operations with SAE Level-4 automated transit technology built for dynamic, security-sensitive environments.

Automated Mobility in Action on Motor City Streets
ADASTEC demonstrated its SAE Level-4 automated driving software platform on open public roads in Detroit, Michigan, in collaboration with the @MichiganDOT and @michiganstateu.
As part of the @ITS_America event, SpartanXpress carried passengers through live urban traffic on two public road demonstration routes, extending from Huntington Place Detroit toward Smart Parking Lab and Newlab.
Covering approximately 4 miles on the Newlab route and 4.5 miles on the Smart Parking Lab route, the demonstrations showcased ADASTEC’s automated driving software in real-world traffic conditions across multiple operational runs.
From the heart of Detroit’s mobility ecosystem, this demonstration reflects ADASTEC’s continued commitment to working with public agencies, transportation stakeholders, academic partners, and technology organizations to bring scalable SAE Level-4 automated mobility solutions to real-world operations.

This 12-month deployment brings SAE Level-4 automated transit into a dynamic urban corridor, supporting first-and-last-mile mobility in mixed traffic with pedestrians, cyclists, crosswalks, traffic signals, stop signs, and shared urban spaces.
