The Governor is not doing anyone a favor by addressing the hardship Lagosians are facing. It is his responsibility!!!
Most people have been conditioned to accept the barest minimum from Politicians and that is why there is zero accountability to the people.
Sir @jidesanwoolu , the people pay for your nice convoy, your security, accommodation and every other luxury your office affords you.
All of these and many more make things very easy and enjoyable for you such that you never have to deal with the pain and hardship the people suffer. The least you can do is to serve them with utmost respect and total commitment! They don’t deserve anything less!!!
@DavidHundeyin What pains me the most is the defeatist attitude many have towards our situation. ‘Our votes don’t count,’ ‘they will always rig it,’ etc 😏
The people telling you these things are living from hand to mouth o! It’s so crazy when you deep it 🤯
Apparently, what we are struggling with is called a chicken and egg conundrum or a circular problem:
To adhere to principle over stomach, you need to leave poverty first - but to be able to leave the poverty, you first need to adhere to principle over stomach.
But the thing is, the Asians were once hungry too. But they had enough pride to believe first in their principles and chest their hunger, until they lifted themselves out of poverty in the greatest economic miracle the world had ever seen.
So ultimately, it always boils down to how badly we want a better life. If we want it as much as we claim we do, we will put that stomach away and stand on principle for once. But I suspect that as with almost everything else, the truth is that we just can't be arsed because we actually don't want it.
All we want is some food on our plate, some clothes on our backs, a controlled substance to ingest for merriment, a song to move our feet to, a bed to sleep in, and a warm body to fuck.
And a prayer for tomorrow to be just like today.
Peter Pan in 1 billion places.
One of the things I look forward to the most about a post-revolution Nigeria is a widespread ability to differentiate between an intelligent, educated Nigerian with valuable global experience (Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Akinwunmi Adesina, Oby Ezekwesili), and a physically attractive, pseudo-articulate moron with a foreign accent (Ajuri Ngelale, Kemi Adeosun, ⬇️⬇️this airhead).
Currently, our people really struggle to tell them apart and e dey absolutely pa mi. Because why in the name of the 12 Òrìṣà is this person a federal cabinet minister? For what reason?
Wait…
Peter Obi gave this college N20 million when he was leaving the office as a governor.
Willie Obiano reversed the check and cancelled it.
10 years later, this man took his personal money to repay them what the state government refused to do.
What manner of man is this Peter Obi sef?
Which politician in Africa can do this?
And you people want me to stop supporting Peter Obi because Harry (who is now APC member😁) is doing bigotry?
Ko le werk!
Ire o✌🏽
@doyinokupe Well stated.
When he wasn't in power and you had nothing to benefit, greed laid low. Now that he is in power, you'll worship him and get your share even if Nigeria burns down. Correct ?
@FKAVOICE @Nnekabusybody Buike we Nigerian citizens are cowards.
We are either blaming government without holding them accountable, explaining how we will die if we speak up or shift all our problems to God and blame Him along the line for them again.
🤧🤧🤧🤧
As far as I'm aware, Nigeria's presidential car has always been a Mercedes Benz Maybach S-class, at least in the 4th Republic.
Since when did the drug pusher change it to a Cadillac Escalade? Another show of fealty to his American handlers?
