Thank you so much @martinlindsay_ & @BBCNews for helping us raise awareness to the impact of these waiting times on people seeking an ADHD diagnosis
We can and we will change this for the better. The stigma around #ADHD#Neurodiversity is costing lives and we need it to stop
Our CEO @MichelleBeckett recently spoke live on @bbcnewcastle to help spread the word on the government guidelines allowing people with neurodiverse conditions and learning disabilities to get out and about more to maintain health and well-being 🙌https://t.co/VD6BVpiPIc
Fantastic #ADHDAwareness raising from the brilliant @rorybremner. We have strengths and challenges with #ADHD, support us and help us to realise our potential! Early diagnosis is critical. Well done, Rory, spot on. #ADHDAction.
'It's a superpower, it really is.'
@rorybremner opens up about living with ADHD, and says people who have the condition can embrace it and use it to their advantage to become successful.
At #ADHDAction we are passionate about teachers and other professionals being trained to spot signs of #ADHD, so there is less chance of an ADHDer slipping through into adulthood without a diagnosis.
Here’s a update on recent events, and looking forward to the future for both ADHD Action and myself personally.
Thank you all so much for support. It’s good to be back!- Michelle
I'm sorry I have been in #ADHD 'hermit mode' of late. There's a post all about what's been going on here: https://t.co/mUYmsRtvRN
Missed you all, thanks for lovely messages. Looking forward to the next chapter of my life, and for @ADHDAction.
It's @MichelleBeckett's birthday tomorrow, 3rd December. She's going to be 46 (but let's not shout about that bit!)
She's raising money for ADHD Action fee free through Facebook as a birthday appeal. Please donate here to say happy birthday to her https://t.co/SDGWLQ4daf #ADHD
The belief that ADHD isn’t real—or that people can simply rally to overcome it—undermines the mental and physical well-being of millions https://t.co/MHZSOj0rxX
It’s so disheartening to see this #antiscience rhetoric being pushed publicly by prominent psychologists.
Medication saves many lives, including my own.
This damaging message is at best stigmatising and hurtful for those with #ADHD, #depression, etc...and at worst lethal.
fun times ahead raising money for @ADHDAction with Dig Deep Fundraising at The Peer Hat 2night!! u can expect a complete 'mixed bag' of all sorts- a bit of disco, house world music and 'a wide variety and odd but party selections.'
