No student should ever feel unsafe because of their Jewish identity. We appreciate @TeamPillen 's leadership and look forward to continuing to work with state leaders, educators, and community partners to confront antisemitism and all forms of hate.
Thank you, @TeamPillen, for requiring Nebraska schools to report all antisemitic incidents and complaints each year. This is what real action looks like.
2025 was the third-worst year for antisemitic incidents since @ADL began tracking them nearly 50 years ago. Jews across the country are being harassed, assaulted, and even murdered simply for being Jewish.
Other states should follow Gov. Jim Pillen's lead and make fighting antisemitism a real priority.

ADL Midwest Regional Dir Rebecca Weininger was leery of Mayor Brandon Johnson’s new hate crimes strategy, saying he "has done nothing for almost a year to build a relationship with the people who speak for a majority of the Jewish community in Chicago.” https://t.co/v8ccSyZCN2
The ADL Midwest team joined bill sponsors and partners for the ceremonial signing of Indiana Senate Bill 160 by @GovBraun. The bipartisan legislation protects not just the Jewish community, but all communities across Indiana.
In Skokie, IL, there were two alleged incidents targeting Jewish youth with antisemitic slurs & identity-based harassment, which became physical. Sr. Regional Dir. Rebecca Weininger responded & was in Skokie to support the community and the response. https://t.co/4zhO2SRCVa
Wisconsin recently became the 38th state to adopt or endorse the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance Working Definition of Antisemitism. We want to thank @GovEvers, state legislators, partners & volunteers who supported this effort. https://t.co/m0A1GMdl9N
Thank you to the leadership of @UWMadison for quickly reaffirming their condemnation of antisemitism and expressing their disappointment in the student-passed BDS resolution. BDS is illegal in Wisconsin, and this resolution will go nowhere. https://t.co/WACNwpv5wd
Still no action from Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, almost 1 month after CCHR provided their recommendations to protect the Chicago Jewish community. We recently joined Jewish leaders, allies, lawmakers & victims to say that his inaction is unacceptable! https://t.co/b01SNgbSel
We were pleased to lead this effort, and we are grateful to @GovBraun for signing this bill into law. Thank you to all who partnered with us to get this win: @Indy_JCRC, @DantAdvocacy, Indiana lawmakers, volunteers, and people like you who continue to support our work.
Rebecca Weininger & Sr. Dir., Global Research & Diplomatic Affairs, Aykan Erdemir, met with @GreeceInUSA Amb. Antonis Alexandridis & Greek diplomatic leaders on Greece’s unprecedented progress in combating antisemitism. Grateful for the honest conversation and strong allyship.
2/ @ADL’s work against anti-Jewish hate wherever we find it is more important than ever. We hope the Mayor of a city where 1/3 of all hate crimes impacted the Jewish community, understands our concerns and takes the fight against antisemitism seriously.
1/ Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson's decision to appear on Hasan Piker's podcast is deeply troubling. Mayor Johnson cannot ignore that Piker has used his large platform to consistently endorse and praise a U.S.-designated terrorist organization and minimize related violence. 🧵
We applaud @ChiCouncil for unanimously joining 35+ states and ~100 municipalities in adding antisemitism and the IHRA definition to its Human Rights Ordinance. This historic step affirms the Jewish community is valued, & that hate has no place in Chicago. https://t.co/YYHgRnsg0E
This year has been one of many challenges, but we're grateful for your partnership in the fight against antisemitism and hate. #HappyThanksgiving from our @ADL family to yours.
We’re saddened for the community of Milwaukee Synagogue for Russian Jews, whose large outdoor menorah was toppled. More painful because the community was established to be a refuge from antisemitism abroad. Thank you @MilwaukeePolice for investigating. https://t.co/4nMfdrIVRy
We celebrate Hersh’s Fridge in Skokie. It’s a powerful tribute to Hersh Goldberg-Polin’s legacy and a testament to Jewish values of compassion, dignity, and community care. We are grateful for your dedication to repairing the world. #TikkunOlam https://t.co/36PbS94R9E
