I’m starting to worry that sending thousands of Scots (a nation of people who pride themselves on their ability to wind people up) to the United States (a nation of people who are so easily rattled & also have guns) may be a bad idea x
@DdavidNumbers@MidnightTravlr@JamesTate121 The OP didn’t actually mention Israel he just referenced being anti-genocide. As far as you know maybe he already was referring to those other nations. The fact you associated it immediately with Israel, frankly, is telling on yourself…
@Ukfreedom__@scaledandned@d4nnytye This is archaic thinking. A billionaire hasn’t worked 1000x more than everyone else to be “worth what their worth”. They make the majority of their money passively through their wealth, pay next to no tax on it and then buy more assets, rinse and repeat. Most don’t work at all!
@Ukfreedom__@scaledandned@d4nnytye You’re making a bad faith argument. The greens are pushing for taxation of the super rich. Those with 10s, 50s 100 millions to billions to tackle inequality. Talking about him renting a £2m home like it’s in any way comparable or hypocritical to that aim is bad faith.
@Ukfreedom__@scaledandned@d4nnytye Mate even if he did own a £2m home, (which he doesn’t), you surely realise the immense difference in scale between a million and a billion. It’s not even remotely comparable.
When we came into office, we uncovered a $12 billion budget deficit.
Today, I’m proud to say we brought it down to zero.
We didn’t close the gap on the backs of working people.
We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets and making historic investments in public housing.
Call it Pothole Politics. Call it Democratic Socialism. It's government that delivers for the people who make this city run.
That’s what New Yorkers deserve. And that’s what we will keep fighting for every single day.
So if you suggest black people should be "melted down and used to fill potholes" you get elected a Reform councillor, but if you say "please stop killing Palestinians" you get called antisemitic and the government calls a cobra meeting. 🫠
This country might be about to have its 6th Prime Minister in 7 years.
Why? Because they’ve all failed to take on a rigged economic system that enriches the few at the expense of us all.
People want a society where children don’t go hungry. That is really not too much to ask.
Sharing, without comment, British newspapers’ depictions of the only Jewish person currently leading a UK political party .
Times. Mail. Telegraph. Sun.
Dave Chappell not understanding how his jokes against trans people contributed to our current political hellscape illustrates how so many of y’all are dumber than you think.
If we wake up and find Trump unleashed devastation, Labour’s silence will be absolutely damning.
If Trump has beyond hopefully de-escalated, it’s still damning.
In the face of genocide, what exactly is the point of the silent UK Prime Minister?
