@LeifThulin@DLocke09#LOJ
Is it possible to trade Lauri + future picks for the number 1 pick whilst keeping number 2? If it is, would you do it? Wizards would get a win now option with insurance. Jazz get two potentially All NBA players or two shots at that.
@DLocke09@LeifThulin what do you think @utahjazz would need to give up to get the 1 pick whilst keeping the 2 pick? Would Lauri + futures do it to give the Wizards a win now with insurance and us a chance at 2 top tier players?
@NorthStandChat Yes! 100% yes! Anyone saying otherwise simply doesn’t understand the Laws of The Game (or chooses to ignore them through Albion tinted glasses).
@13DavidIrvine31@utahjazz@mcannonbrookes I did a trip years ago where I followed the team for 9 games. Totally worth the trip from Australia. Plus they are all so welcoming.
@JazzLead That 13/14 season holds special memories for me. I did a 9 game holiday following the team, made it into the Salt Lake Tribune and got to know many of the players, coaches and their families.
@C804sT2023 @JaneCaro@ThisNThatNews2 This is the point of view I don’t understand. If you say it will do nothing and achieve nothing, why do we need to get rid of it? Isn’t it easier and cheaper just to vote yes and have it get up? That way it exists and we don’t engage in debate again. There is no reason to vote no
@Peter_Fitz I’ll be voting yes but that is not a good ad. It plays only to those already voting yes and doesn’t address any concerns of those undecided or voting no. I’m concerned that we, as a nation, will make the wrong decision and this ad doesn’t help.
@McCadeP8 Well not to mention the obvious MVP of the league who openly doesn’t want to or the slightly more comical take of Ben Simmons, there are any number of Europeans who regularly decide not to go over to the NBA. You might be familiar with Ante Tomic for example.
@McCadeP8 That’s a stretch and a very American centric view. Not all basketballers try to play in the NBA. Also, that isn’t really nations competing, it is individual athletes trying to make a team.
@McCadeP8 Are you joking? The World Cup has over 200 nations compete for 32 (soon to be 48) finals spots. Sure, play semantics with location but then you need to take in the 200+ locations the qualifying rounds occur in.
@McCadeP8 Each team represents a nation. All players from that team represent the nation. All teams qualify by playing games in their continents against other nations both home and away. All officials come from around the world and don’t officiate games involving their nation or continent.
@McCadeP8 Yes the players make up the league. The teams make the league domestic or international though. An international school doesn’t have a world championship simply because the kids come from all around the world.
@RyanQualtrics@utahjazz Every 50 points scored by the team is a scholarship paid by the Jazz to deserving students across the first 50 games of the season. Always enjoy seeing the team give back.
@McCadeP8 Absolutely that would change things. If the teams relocated around the world and made it a truly worldwide league then it would be a worldwide league. I’m not sure why this is difficult for many Americans to understand?
@McCadeP8 If you want to play semantics, sure. It’s not the world though. It’s part of North America. If they really want to, they could be Part of North American Champions 🤣
@McCadeP8 That is a stupid response. Representation matters. Not location of games. The teams are all domestic so it’s a domestic league. If teams are international, it’s an international league.
