Today’s the day! The one day of the year when cats are most likely to take over the world… Cat World Domination Day!
Stay vigilant, fellow cat lovers. Keep treats within reach and offer the required daily tribute. With any luck, we’ll all make it through the day in one piece.
"Do operate from the depth of your heart, so open to the funny and the ironic and the absurd that you can't help but laugh stupid and cry ugly and be a beacon of life for anyone lucky enough to be in your presence," Jane Lynch, MFA ’84.

Honoring the very first #JaneGoodallDay 🌿
Dr. Jane Goodall served as an A.D. White Professor‑at‑Large @ADWHITEPAL at @Cornell (1996–2002), an appointment she held especially dear for the opportunity to engage in thoughtful, wide‑ranging conversations with bright, highly motivated students.
As she once reflected:
“I truly was a professor‑at‑large, as I would bounce around from the forests of Gombe to visit Cornell for a few days to give talks about chimpanzee behavior and meet with curious students … then I would be off again on lecture tours around the world.”
Last fall—just a week before her passing—Jane gathered with Cornellians to commemorate this enduring partnership, making the moment both a celebration and a fond farewell.
Her legacy of curiosity, compassion, and global impact continues to inspire. 🌍💛
