When done well, this can create such a wonderful atmosphere!
I feel like this works particularly well at KS3 but keen to know how to make it work with older year groups/smaller classes.
Love @TeachLikeAChamp Call and Reponse. Stopped during Covid, it is great to see it in action again. Motivating and inclusive. 'Doing something in unison reminds us that we belong to a group..It briefly but viscerally makes everyone in the room feel part of something collective'.
*Memory* is incredibly interesting.

What it’s not:
❎ creating different tasks for children
❎ making the work easier
❎ catering for a perceived learning style
What it is:
✅ adapting a challenging task to enable success
✅ reducing cognitive load
✅ gradually removed
I was asked if I get bored teaching a language from scratch again at the start of a new school year. I replied, no! How can it ever be boring to share your love of languages & introduce new students to a whole new world? So much can begin with ça va?, wie geht’s? & ¿qué tal?
