A strong nation is better positioned to secure its future and pursue its development goals.

Do you really follow the news? Ethiopia is the country reportedly acquiring these aircraft—not Kenya or Eritrea.
Ethiopia has a long-established air force. Do you really think its military modernization is happening without a broader strategic vision?
Think outside the box. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is leading a country that must prepare not only for today but also for tomorrow.
My concern is that Ethiopia may eventually explore modifying the Su-35 to suit its own strategic needs. That is a possibility worth discussing, even if it remains speculation.
Never underestimate a country's long-term ambitions simply because you cannot yet see the full picture.

Our comprehensive efforts to sustainably ensure our country's peace and security have reached a new milestone today. The state of readiness being built within Ethiopia's defense forces is endowing the nation with the capability to preemptively deter aggression.

In accordance with our prior agreement with the Russian government, we have today taken delivery of the first twelve Su-35 4++ Generation fighter jets. Additionally, Ethiopia will receive four S-400 air defense system batteries.

I would like to express my gratitude to my friend, Russian President Vladimir Putin, for his dedication in ensuring we received these warplanes a year ahead of our agreed schedule. By equipping itself with these fighter jets, Ethiopia has taken the lead among Sub-Saharan African nations.

I am deeply disappointed by people in the West who interfere in matters concerning a country they have no right to dictate to. What is even more troubling is the perception that some are willing to profit from lobbying and misinformation while women and children bear the cost in blood, tears, and suffering.
Peter, please stop spreading false information and show respect for my country and its Prime Minister. Disagreement is one thing, but spreading misinformation and personal insults is another. Ethiopia and its people deserve respect, truth, and fairness.
