Whenever I won teacher of the year, I didn’t know that you then complete a district teacher of the year application with multiple essays, submit your resume, etc 😳… but I did it and…
✨Today, I was honored with District Teacher of the Year.✨
On Monday, I took the Special Education Certification Exam. After work today, I found out I am officially certified. Something told me to eat some cake at lunch today. 😂

✨ I had the honor of presenting at today’s @GCCISDScience Curriculum Day. ✨
We shifted back into teacher mode and explored how writing can deepen science instruction through CER, ABYDOS, Kagan, and Lead4ward strategies. Ready for a year of purpose, connection, and growth.
This activity is right up our alley! 🎳
You can grab items from around the house and set them up as pins to encourage math learning all year long.
Thank you @MrsMorrow07 for sharing your subtraction bowling idea!

So excited to launch the new fluency program that I developed for my campus. Everything in @LatrendaK’s #CAMT25 session, made me even more empowered to kick everything off!
Some of the highlight on Day ✌🏾at #CAMT25
• learned how to support struggling learners with @OrigoEducation
• absorbed all the math interactive read aloud info from @MathCoachChlo
• gained more knowledge on math workshop from @katyisd’s finest
I’ve read this book 4 times as of this past Wednesday; so many gems within it! @DrKramer1, you’ve helped me to launch this upcoming school year off right! 💪🏾
All professional development that I facilitate this upcoming school year are about to be on a level 20. I’ve got over 15 pages of notes and a brain loaded with ideas. 🤟🏾✨

Project-based learning once fueled my classroom—and this week, I brought that same spark as a math and science instructional coach. Watching K–4 students shine at The Greenprint Showcase, including Phoenix with her newly written second book, was heartwarming.
@GCCISDScience
These past few weeks, we have been exploring Bluebonnet Learning lessons in 3rd through 5th grade classrooms. It was great to see how fluid the instruction was while using the Whiteboard app on the iPads for our fluency practice.
