A hero to the city of Detroit, Marlowe Stoudamire was a community leader who championed for equality and was responsible for bringing hockey to more than 30,000 children.

The @DetroitRedWings honor Stoudamire who passed away from complications of COVID-19 earlier this year.

The @DetroitRedWings are paying tribute to Detroit native Marlowe Stoudamire today who was a key figure in the growth of hockey at the grassroots level in Hockeytown, bringing hockey to more than 30,000 children.

He passed away from complications of COVID-19 in March 2020.
