BREAKING: WE HAVE A CONTRACT! Yesterday, our members voted overwhelming to ratify our first union contract. We’re so proud of our union’s solidarity and commitment, and we could not have done it without our community standing with us during our strike. 1/
The Brooklyn Museum’s unionized staff demand a fair contract with improved wages in their latest action outside yesterday’s Brooklyn Artists Ball. https://t.co/Fb0Ti5mwnm
You can email our Director and Deputy Director, Karen Cooper and Sonya Chung, at [email protected] and [email protected] — “I support the Film Forum Union and their right to a fair contract and a living wage.” THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

SOLIDARITY– TRES CHIC! Join us for a peaceful demonstration in front of the museum during the VIP Thierry Mugler opening THIS Tuesday, November 15 from 6 — 8 PM.
To support us, keep asking questions of IDA leadership & demand accountability. Shout out to the @DocProducers and @AADocNetwork on their statement supporting the staff. We also appreciate the thoughtfulness of moderator @htshell and fellow panelist John Klacsmann (@AFAworkers).
BREAKING: The Museum’s current wage offer fails to recognize our contribution as museum staff. Our union has been forced to file unfair labor practice charges against the Museum because of their refusal to bargain fairly.
Today, ballots were counted in a union election among staff at Film Forum. Workers voted unanimously in favor of unionization with Union Local 2110 UAW. Film Forum Union Wins!
Together, through unionization, we have won significant gains, such as higher wages with guaranteed annual increases, safeguarded health benefits, and a legally enforceable grievance procedure. ESSENTIAL CINEMA. ESSENTIAL WORKERS.
