All happened this week.
The reality of climate change is upon us. Serious action must be taken now, not by 2030, to protect our planet and our citizens.
We have all the tools we need to make our cities more resilient, restoring the planet and cut down CO2e emissions.
Thank you @GavinNewsom for your global climate leadership! My only issue with this article is calling Shell an “energy” company. However, it emphasizes the depth of #BigOil ‘s deception. #EndFossilFuel

200+ low-income families in Chicago are moving to the head of the line to electrify.
Chicago is committing $15 million to swap out their fossil-fueled appliances for more efficient, electric alternatives at no cost to them. https://t.co/AhLXrDO61M
In 3 yrs this #solar installation at a high school in Arkansas turned the district budget from a $250K deficit to a $1.8 million surplus. They're using the surplus to increase teacher salaries.
We have the solutions. Implement them. #ActOnClimate#climate#renewables
1. Global warming will continue until we reach net-zero.
2. The climate consequences will keep getting worse until we reach net-zero.
3. After reaching net-zero we will have to live and suffer in a warmer world for generations.
Do we act now or delay further?
Time for lights out
Every business- entire sectors - that is not serving a human or societal need or actively helping scale climate solutions need to hit the off switch. Time to start transitioning those workers to the jobs of the future - if we’re gonna have one
The fossil fuel industry is at the heart of the climate crisis.
The problem is not simply fossil fuel emissions. It’s fossil fuels—period.
Countries must progressively phase them out, moving to leave oil, coal & gas in the ground—and massively boost renewable investments.
@eddiepwest@NAFSA Thanks for sharing @eddiepwest and thanks @NAFSA for committing to climate action. Shrinking emissions must be as important to the mission as growing student mobility.
My siblings and I used to play in the woods that were paved over here along the American River. No more beautiful trees, gentle shade, soft soil, or life. It’s all gone. It’s too much for the soul to bear.
I have a visceral reaction when I see certain images meant to show equality vs equity. Here is my attempt to explain why I get so worked up. Send me your feedback! https://t.co/DH36RyZF7o
ConocoPhillips' latest oil/gas drilling project would emit 287 million metric tons of carbon pollution & threaten the public lands, wildlife, & Indigenous communities of Alaska's North Slope. @POTUS, you can be a climate hero—reject the Willow project! #StopWillow#SayNoToConoco
