Interesting to note that Newcastle is deemed to be in danger this season due to their outgoings, but the same opinion isn’t held of Aston Villa.

Yes, Newcastle have lost Gordon, Bruno and Tonali, 3 massive players, I’m not disputing they will likely regress, but Villa have also lost:

- Tielemans
- Rogers
- Konsa
- Digne
- Martinez

5 players that were key players at one point for Villa. If it wasn’t for Emery, I’d have them firmly in the bottom half this season.

It’s like the MONSTARS came down and sucked up all Salah’s skills. He’s still getting in good positions, but he’s just lacking that little extra magic.

I was torn between trying to trade low or just holding on… but I’ve decided you have to respect his body of work and that he will eventually come good.
