AFLWUPDATES

wanting to share my love of the AFLW

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

@aflwomens @Telstra Surprised it’s not Bogue who scored 4 goals!

[Carlton Women's @carltonfc_w]

➕4️⃣.

WOW!

An identity-forging win at the home of one of the competition's best. 'BAGGERS! #AFLWLionsBlues

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

Frustrated again with the brief coverage of the AFLW on @9NewsMelb

The North Melbourne story was centred around Jas Garner’s injury but failed to really highlight:

100 point win
Highest AFLW score ever
Longest undefeated streak

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

@FOXFOOTY once again the replay screens for the dogs v hawks game aren’t working #aflw #foxfooty

[North Melbourne Women's @NMFCWomens]

BACK-TO-BACK 🏆

#Kangas

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

Is there a more innocent explanation to the male commentator calling a North VFLW premiership player ‘the blonde bombshell’? Came across as a very unprofessional and inappropriate comment on the broadcast #vflw #vflwfinal

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

@glbastiani Equal highest - they scored 14.3 (87) against the swans last year

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

North AFLW game at Arden street

-Gates open at 12:05 despite flag unfurling at 12:30
-no liquids allowed
-2 security guards waving people in

Frustrating start

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

@gav_mck @FOXFOOTY @hawthornaflw @7AFL @AlistairNichol6 It’s driving me insane

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

Based on St Kilda’s poor performance against Melbourne, it will be very interesting to see how Adelaide play against Geelong

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

Would really love some coverage on the AFLW on @9NewsMelb about injuries, big ins and most importantly reminders of who is playing and when

[Rebecca Hayne @BeccaHayne]

I dunno folks, but when we're up to 7 homophobic slurs in 2 seasons, the news is broken by a news breaker who outed a colleague with a homophobic slur, and opinions are given by a captain and an ex president who've used racist language, we might have an issue here...

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

@_sjblack Feel like there has been so many severe/long recovery injuries in round 1 this year + preseason. Do you think there is any particular reason?

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

@JPXP66 @VFL As a north supporter I’m annoyed too! I assume Collingwood will host the final at their home ground too

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

@JPXP66 @VFL I think it’s because North lost their first round final and Hawks won

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

@thebrisbanebear @kateemac9 Agreed - plus when teams from the same club play at the same time staff get stretched and the teams can’t watch each other

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

@H0nestAussie @cable_unplugged @AlexJDonnelly No one’s saying that filling the MCG is where the AFLW is at, fans just want more accountability from the AFL and more discussion and media attention

[Marnie Vinall @marnievinall]

Season ending injury for GWS' Alyce Parker, just gutting.

Ruled out for three months with a foot fracture.

[AFLWUPDATES @AFLWUPDATES]

Did I hear the man right on @3AW693 just now who said that the afl players ‘don’t know any better’ because they might not know any gay people! Is he serious?

[Gemma @glbastiani]
