Keep going and keep fighting. You’ll get where you need to be.
I feel like this approach and mindset is universally applicable. If you are able to tailor your delivery to your audience, your message will be understood and your impact amplified. Do everything with compassion and understanding and you'll change the world... #mentalhealth
Thx to @RIHEALTH @BHLinkRI @TheSamaritansRI@AFSP_RI & others, RI is making progress on #suicideprevention. But on national level, we’ve got to do more. We need real parity for #mentalhealth coverage & greater fed investment in research & staffing suicide prevention call centers.
Suicide is always heartbreaking. But today's @Rally2Prevent showed there are amazing people out there like Missy & Michaela of @AFSP_RI providing us w/ hope. Thanks to all advocates & organizations who came out to #BeTheVoice. #AFSPadvocacy
Honored to meet with Missy Ames and Justin Alves from @afspnational. Really important that we address the recent spike in suicide rates and ensure those who need help can get it.
I’m grateful to have met with such strong advocates for suicide prevention from @AFSP_RI today. Free, confidential support & counseling is always available at 800-273-8255.
