@pasta_nachos yes, there is one argument. more housing supply will lead to lower housing prices. homeowners want to keep home prices high.
counterargument to myself: lower property tax burdens raise property values.

@Eric_Erins you're the GOAT. walked through there almost daily when I lived in printers row. bewildering, but was very peaceful. hidden tennis courts there too.
@jmisci@SouthportCor From my understanding this is one of the most vibrant retail strips in Chicago. any vacancies are filled very quickly. family friendly and wide (enough) sidewalks help too.
