@kngiordano I swear every year it takes me 10x as long as normal to plan the first day!

[Sarah Trone Garriott @SarahforIowa]

I shared on the Senate floor what educators have meant to my family. The last two years have been tremendously difficult for parents and kids. I am so grateful for all the ways our Iowa educators and staff have been there for us.

Saydel has a unique, albeit messy, homecoming tradition.

@MarkFreundTV has the story behind @SaydelHS "Paint The Hill" tradition in this week's Wired.

To all those teachers wrapping up their final days this week, next week, or whenever it may be...

I see you, and I stand in awe of all you've made it through.

Thank you for the safety and security you've provided students this year.

Your work matters - every. single. day.

What a special day! My first year of teaching the class of 2021 were freshmen. They’ve taught me so much over the last four years and I’ve loved watching them grow into young adults. Best wishes to these grads 🎉

It was a great day! #WeAreSaydel

Good morning @AFienup, @RaeHughart @jeffgargas ☀️. Ashley talked on E163 #TeachaBetterTalk about her life as a young teacher and concern for her students. Fabulous listen 🎧. #FreshAairAtFive is having its 1st b-day tomorrow 🎂. #BalanceLAP

Last week, we did an Articles of Confederation simulation. Through this simulation, students were able to experience firsthand the conflicting interests of the 13 colonies and the events they dealt with that eventually led to the creation of the Constitution of the United States!

[Saydel High School @SaydelHS]

Last week, Mrs. Loew and @AFienup took their AP students to hear author @DrIbram where they were challenged to consider what an antiracist society would be and how they can help build it. #WeAreSaydel
