As someone who was baptized Catholic and raised Christian, I’ve always found the modern Christian approach to politics and demographics strange. If Christians genuinely believe their faith is the path to salvation, you’d expect them to prioritize preserving and expanding Christian communities, not diluting them through mass immigration from populations that largely don’t share their beliefs while simultaneously giving those populations an equal voice in shaping society. From that perspective, the approach seems counterintuitive and arguably at odds with advancing Christianity itself.
