@jefuthepeko I was a bit crazy on my trip because I went from Nagoya to Mie to Gifu after getting to Nagoya. It was a crazy day, but as a Crossbeats player it was worth doing.
@CirnoTV As someone that work in baggage... It could have been anything from the wheel getting caught in something and twisting wrong, handler miscare, sorter damage, or a combination of things. I've seen bags survive worse and stuff break from less.
@_U_227 Also the rules about harnesses and helmets depend on location and height in my experience. I've seen harnesses be required if going to the top of hills or if the hill is steep, but if the ride is not above a certain height the harnesses are not needed.
@_U_227 What I have noticed is that in America and Europe, a lot of the safety regulations are directed at staff, not riders. Japan is more of the opposite it felt when I was there.
Which is why the recent incidents in Japan were shocking. Why were the rides not disabled with locks?
Seeing a bunch of JP amusement park posts in my feed so... Some photos on Nagashima Spa Land from my trip in April. Got to ride Ultra-Twister and Shuttle Loop this time which were both closed 2 years ago.
As someone that's always found tech and live show stuff fascinating, the motion capture stuff now blows my mind. Just kinda amazing to compare what Henson Studios was doing 15+ years ago in custom facilities to what's now being done for things live vtuber shows.
@zenmai4k While it's not likely to change, it's also just a very different goods culture. I hate gacha-based systems for items, but it's very common in Japan. Just let me buy the things I want... Especially if it's online, pre-order stuff...
Seeing the finale for The Amazing Digital Circus in theaters was cool. Can't say the finale left me in as awe as how Episode 8 left me, but at the end of the day, the story was wrapped how Goose wanted it. Good series overall and definitely better structured than Murder Drones.
@DistantValhalla physical, real explosions are just so fun to get to mess with (SAFELY BECAUSE THEY ARE STILL EXPLOSIONS) but knowing you are also British, all I can think of is the Tom Scott explosions video and this
