Teaching regular people about wine, help them feel more knowledgeable & confident when buying wine at the market, ordering at a restaurant or pairing with food.
They cut the bottom 1/3 of the grape bunches off and use that for the sparkling wine and leave the remaining 2/3 on the vine to mature until the regular harvest. This is the kind of genius that I just love!! 🤔

Sparkling Nebbiolo!! Yes please!
I had the opportunity to visit @travaglinigattinara this year and drink some of my favorite Nebbiolos, but this sparkling version just knocked my socks off. What’s more was the unique way in which they harvested the grapes for the sparkling wine.
As with Champagne and most other sparkling wines produced via the traditional method, the grapes are harvested early to preserve acidity and ensure that the sugars in the grapes are not too high. Well, they don’t have a separate vineyard or rows that they harvest early…
@MonteMast I want to try the Bent Oak but didn’t have enough room in my bag 😬. I will def try more Texas Viognier and I agree, they have it figured out.
Viognier is an aromatic, full bodied, mod. acidic white grape from Northern Rhône. It ripens late & likes warmth. Additionally this grape also grows in Australia, S. Africa, WA,OR,CA,VA & TX. TX creates fantastic Viognier but many casual wine drinkers are unaware of the quality.
