The big 3 together

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@CatSE___ApeX___ @thekookreport following its recent acquisition of grain, does SpaceX intend to compete with the "Big 3" in the US and ASTS in the rest of the world—specifically by developing L-band satellites to partner with domestic MNOs and leverage existing terrestrial coverage in the US? @CatSE___ApeX___

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@CatSE___ApeX___ @thekookreport What are the chances of them building a better satellite network than ASTS?
Is it feasible, given that they are starting from scratch, and how long would it take to develop?
I ask because there will always be an MNO willing to partner with them

Thank u

Otras cosas no objetivas:

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@Puffery69 @CatSE___ApeX___ @keyesmn How capable do you think they are of pulling it off?

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@CatSE___ApeX___ @keyesmn They received FCC approval for 15,000 satellites at an altitude of 330 kilometers. Consequently, using the G-RAIN spectrum, they could build, test, and launch—via Starship—new satellites capable of L-band operations, and have the constellation ready in two to three years, right

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@TMFAssociates What are the odds of what you said happening?
It is a very serious statement to say that SpaceX will refuse delivery or the launch.

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@TMFAssociates Isn't it logical to assume that, given SpaceX's aggressive move, they will happily make the whole thing available?

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@TMFAssociates The total frequency holdings of AT&T and Verizon are far greater than Grain's individual 800 MHz spectrum.
isnt correct?

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@TMFAssociates Difficult questions? $asts

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@TMFAssociates Is this spectrum so important for ASTS?
Shouldn't they have to pay for it somehow?
Won't the MNOs—who have been annoyed by this move from SpaceX—offer it to them now?
Don't the "Big Three" have much more usable spectrum?

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@ATTICxRAT @ex_liberal_1990 @DefinitionsNew Welcome TMus

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@ATTICxRAT @ex_liberal_1990 @DefinitionsNew Try ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok too, but at least do some research and don't talk nonsense.

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@ATTICxRAT @ex_liberal_1990 @DefinitionsNew If it wants to move into mobile telephony, it will need L-band capabilities.
Its current satellites aren't compatible.
It would have to build new ones.
But even if it launched them, it doesn't have access to the L-band.
I’m not the one saying this;
T-Mobile—Starlink’s partner—is

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@ATTICxRAT @ex_liberal_1990 @DefinitionsNew Do U know which spectrum band is needed?
L-band.
Why hasn't he bought it?
Where do U think they sell it?
At Walmart?
Grain sells spectrum too.
Why doesn't he get it?
The rest is locked up by MNOs and kept out of reach of any trillionaire.
Do U have any other questions like that?

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@ex_liberal_1990 @DefinitionsNew So what if it launches 1,500,000 satellites?
Does it have spectrum?
Does it have a terrestrial network?
Will it ever partner with an MNO?
Has it ever demonstrated voice and data capabilities?
What good are they if it can't use them?
R U an idiot or just clueless? $asts

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@RKLBMan Read it

[Alexander @AlexfromBabylon]

$ASTS I keep saying it: There will be one lowband constellation at scale and there will be multiple midband D2D providers including Starlink and Amazon with their own connectivity bundles.

Midband will be the commodity and agressive pricing layer. AST will largely at scale have a lowband monopoly globally and that’s unique. MNO’s will never give SpaceX and Amazon low band and anyone else cannot pull it off.

If you read about the multi tenant D2D model, 6G and the future of Physical AI you conclude that lowband is the most important D2D layer, because it is a bridge between the phone and higher capacity midband.

Wall Street analysis is still superficial in not recognizing this. They talk about increased competition, while in reality nobody will be competing in lowband in a multi tenant setup.

[ArisGritzalis @AGritzalis]

@RKLBMan I haven't heard you express concerns about your other stocks.
Are things going well there—no worries?
Are you only worried about ASTS? $ASTS
