1/2I heard a heartbreaking nursing story today. A nursing student was sent to clinical with only a single surgical mask and told not to worry she would not be around COVID patients. They rushed a patient into the unit and the patient coded. She was told by the instructor to go in

It is with a heavy heart that the Metropolitan Police Department announces the passing of Senior Police Officer Keith Williams. Officer Williams had over 31 years of service with MPD and will be greatly missed.

It appears his passing was due to COVID-19 related complications.

A nurse wore her own N95 mask that she bought in the ER where she works yesterday. Her boss said it was not needed and to take it off. She refused as she has small children at home. The boss said to take it off or quit so she quit. #NurseTwitter
