Here's a look at the diversion @CSUtilities is building on the Arkansas River near Leadville in partnership with @COParksWildlife and others. The $9 million structure includes a fish ladder on the left, a whitewater raft channel on the right and an overflow channel in the middle.
Rob White, park manager for @COParksWildlife's @AHRA_CPW speaks to a tour group led by @CSUtilities along the Arkansas River where the two agencies are partners in removing a dam and installing a new fish ladder and whitewater raft ramp.
Happy Birthday to our friend, the OG mascot of the outdoors, steward of the land, wildfire prevention hero, @smokey_bear. We love you bud. β€π»

Proud to be part of the best state in the nation. Happy #ColoradoDay!
It takes teamwork to keep these @AHRA_CPW River Rangers safe as they use chainsaws to remove downed trees known in the rafting world as "strainers" from a swift-flowing Arkansas River. Their bravery today at the Big Bend Recreation area made the water safer for all.
We #rescue more than #wildlife. Today @COParksWildlife river ranger Catelin Miles of the @AHRA_CPW saved some rafters in the Arkansas River in Browns Canyon. They were stuck on rocks and were grateful to Catelin for her help. (Catelin has her back to the camera.)
We'd like to extend a heart-felt thank you to Ranger Pappenfort for his many years of service at @AHRA_CPW ! Happy retirement, Stew! https://t.co/hfkxJZsqNU
Congrats @AHRA_CPW Ranger Stew Pappenfort. You know you've been doing something right when your retirement is front-page news. Job well-done! Keep your head dry and your paddles wet.
