Our anxiety often stems from a desire to control things that haven't even happened yet. But true peace comes when we remember that our future is not a surprise to God.
Starting the week with this certainty changes everything. We stop frantically trying to make things happen in our own strength and begin to walk with the calm assurance of knowing that every detail of tomorrow has already been planned with love, care, and purpose.
May your heart find rest today, allowing you to live this day with presence and a light spirit.
What worry about tomorrow can you place in His hands right now, so that you may walk in peace?
As a Christian, it’s not a matter of if you’ll face circumstances that unsettle or even frighten you; it’s a matter of when. The apostle Paul wrote, “You know how much persecution and suffering I have endured. You know all about how I was persecuted in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra—but the Lord rescued me from all of it. Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution” (2 Timothy 3:11–12 NLT).
Everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ will suffer persecution. There’s no avoiding that reality. So, as believers, we can either live in fear of the inevitable persecution we’ll face, or we can prepare for it.
We can prepare for it by rethinking our response to persecution. Instead of giving in to our fears and doing everything we can to avoid or end persecution, we can embrace it for what it is. That’s not to say we need to welcome it or seek it out—or to pretend that it doesn’t hurt and frighten us. But we mustn’t ignore the fact that persecution identifies us with Christ.
How can you be proactive in dealing with your fears?
I’m very glad I wasn’t the only one that saw the play calling and personnel change immediately after Tommy came in. I thought I was trippin for a sec. That’s smelly
This entire thing has been misunderstood and blown out of proportion. He wasn't there for a week, like he missed practices or something. Guys get days off during bye, nearly all of them went home. Bryce went and did more work in California.
Michigan scores after a wide & high shot went off the end boards, rebounded off the net & a DU player before the puck landed in the cage.
Originally waved off for a high stick, the refs overturned and called it a good goal for UM.
Let's get it back boys!
DU 3 | UM 4 | 4:53 3rd
Despite the turmoil in both PSU and UM programs, and the chaos in the sport itself, the Big House is filled with fans from both programs, who can enjoy classic blue-blood uniforms on a gorgeous fall day.
Could be worse.
This very well may be my last post so I want to take a moment to thank everyone who supported my photography work and me as a human being.
All my options have dried up and I’ve given this life everything I’ve had to give. As of today I’ve lost everything I’ve worked for over the entirety of my life and it’s gotten to the point that I don’t have any more options or moves to make.
I will do my best to schedule images to be posted after this for everyone to enjoy for just a little longer.
With Love, Daniel.
“In order for these false prophets to keep the people following them, they must feed them with spiritually toxic food. This toxic food is a little bit of psychology, a little bit of inspiration, a dash of theology, a touch of Bible and a whole lot of personality.” -Tozer
It’s essential that Christians learn how to pray effectively. The reality is that all of us will face difficulties, hardships, problems, and more than a few box canyons. We need to discover what God can do through the power of prayer.
Prayer for the Christian should be second nature, like breathing. We should automatically lift our needs and requests before the Lord. Jesus said that we should always pray and not lose heart (see Luke 18:1). Prayer is something we should never avoid and never grow tired of. Prayer should be woven through our day like a bright gold thread woven through a piece of fabric. The more we pray, the more we will see the kingdom of God break through the darkness of seemingly impossible situations.
What seemingly impossible situation in your life might be changed by prayer?
