So much of Liberalism is played as a zero sum game where the entire point of the exercise is to leave the people they view as demographically franchised in the dust, forgetting that that demographic probably makes up a majority of voters and has a tolerance point.

I think this is actually probably correct. I think a lot of people are naturally making moves divesting from American products where they can, and it would probably be worse if products were visibly labelled.

There is no way we are buying American liquor. This was a grassroot movement and most Canadians don't care. What the American government has done is not reversible. Their still won't make a profit from us. Put it back on the shelf. Won't make a difference.

Not really: 2026 is lining up to be a low-middle of the road year when it comes to wildfires, and significantly better than most of the last 5. People are treating every fire like it's a problem, when in reality they're part of the forest's cycle of renewal.

So here's my suggestion. Bring back the carbon tax, but rename it to 'wildfire prevention levy' and at a higher rate. That becomes the source of BC's wildfire prevention funds going forward.

I actually thought that this might have been a very old listing, because the CMA/CGA/CA designations merged into the CPA designation more than a decade ago. It's beyond weird that a government account would make that error. But they did, the ad was from last month.

There are only two “Core Competencies” listed, and *BOTH* pertain to understanding Indigenous-specific racism, systemic racism and anti-racism etc.

These ideological demands are not optional. They make up the bulk of the “qualifications,” “core competencies” and “skills & knowledge” specified for this senior role in BC’s broken healthcare system.

With ERs regularly closing and people dying on waitlists, the NDP continue to put their radical activism ahead of outcomes for everyday British Columbians.

@Prominent_Bryan @erat_perfect I don't think this is right... When the NDP imploded, it kind of put a spotlight on the inconvenient truth for Liberals: The NDP wasn't just Liberals in orange, they were a labour party, and the CPC were talking labour language. The NDP is going home.
