Here’s why you need real users, even while building.
I spent time adding lights, beautiful materials, and aesthetic patterns to this 3D block design tool.
Then I gave it to my son.
He immediately used it like this🤣
Turns out real users may love crashing things more than carefully building them.

I showed my 7-year-old son the news about the ongoing warehouse fire. While people worried about lithium batteries in robots exploding, he said,
"Every robot should be trained to handle emergencies before working in factories to minimize accidents."
We built an interactive 3D module to teach kids about what temperature does to water.
- You adjust the temperature in real time
- You see the impact on the state of water and what's changing at a molecular level
- You can unlock two secret states in there if you pass a quick quizz
This is the first of a giant series. We're turning the open source @withmarbleapp curriculum into a full bank of these interactive lessons. One for each topic kids learn in primary school.
If you are a parent or primary school teacher, let us know in comments which module you want to see next.

@SoloBoardroom@Replit Haha, the next buildathon in Spain is going to be amazing! And thank you so much for your encouragement. I won’t forget it. When I finally ship my app, I’ll definitely give you a shout-out🤩🎉🙌
PhysicsWallah prepares over 36 millions of students across India for competitive exams, and government entrance exams.
Their AI doubt-solving tool, Ask AI, found that 52% of students learn better through audio. A text-only tool was leaving half their users behind.
They integrated ElevenLabs to turn Ask AI into a voice AI tutor - with native Hinglish support, because that is how their students actually speak.
Students who learn by listening, stay:
- 3x more queries per session vs. non-voice users
- 2.4x higher retention at Day 15
Warren Buffett said he goes to bed knowing a little more than when he woke up.
My AI gave me a rule,
"Go to bed with your app a little better than it was this morning."
Knowledge compounds. So do great products.
I've been making a book on Replit just for my son who loves books, but avoids reading sentences.
After each story set, I asked the Replit agent to generate the next chapter, slowly emphasizing more science and informational content.
As we repeated this process, something unexpected happened.
The agent started drawing my son older in the illustrations.
It felt like the book was quietly growing with him.
For those who are interested in working in EdTech, I need to be honest with you about what you're signing up for.
You probably shouldn't apply.
EdTech's graveyard is full of brilliant engineers. AltSchool raised $200M and closed. Knewton raised $180M and sold for scraps. 2,148 edtech startups in India shut down in the past five years.
They didn't fail because of a lack of technical skill. They failed from mission drift.
Here's what working in edtech actually means:
You're not building software. You're building a theory of how children learn. - @MitchForest
When you're 2 months into the same feature, and it still doesn't work, you won't have the dopamine hits of shipping fast. You'll need something deeper.
For the engineers who build learning apps for @AlphaSchoolATX, they are REQUIRED to spend 2 hours every day studying. Not coding. Studying and reading papers on cognitive load theory, motivation research, and translating learning science into applications.
Two hours. Every single day.
Engineers like @yiran__c write about the neuroscience of handwriting. @arpangup shares the Harada Method. @LamarDealMaker explores AI for skill development.
This isn't optional. It's the job.
Your success metrics will lie to you.
High DAUs don't mean kids are learning. Viral engagement doesn't mean mastery. The metrics that drive consumer tech success actively undermine educational outcomes.
The money will tempt you to build the wrong thing.
EdTech market: $400B by 2030. That capital creates pressure to optimize for pitch decks instead of classrooms. Byju's hit $22B before collapsing.
An MBA analyzes constraints. A builder changes reality.
What we require:
➡️ Mission Alignment
➡️ Agency
➡️ Strong Engineering Skills
If you're chasing market opportunity or building for your resume, don't apply.
But if you're a builder who sees broken systems and feels an overwhelming need to fix them? If you believe high standards create happy kids? If you want to change education for a billion children?
Before applying, read the link in the reply.
And if you're still interested after understanding what it really takes, let's talk about joining us in building the future of EdTech.
Totally agree with you. I started building apps for my children and I’m still iterating on them. Because I was using vibe coding, I initially thought I needed to focus on learning tech skills first. Though, I’ve found myself spending more time learning and exploring ideas together with my kids.
I think @SpaceX's real value probably comes from @Starlink, not from selling rocket launches.
Future Moon and Mars settlements will need fleets of robots, vehicles, sensors, and autonomous machines working together.
They’ll all need a communication network. Starlink🚀🚀🚀
A few of the 20 games on https://t.co/1kAs2fNqky
Built on @Replit using Fable, running multiple parallel agents to build all your recognisable, favourite games.
Intentionally simple, hyper casual games.
Collab with @Andrew_Blumson.
No ads. No purchases. Works as a PWA.
@Andrew_Blumson@KevinBlumson@Replit 20 games, each with its own loop, design, and mechanics on a single platform? And you cooked it in replit? Incredible🤩
