Opus 5.5 vs Gemini 4 Argon
Same prompt.
Same task: build a cinematic 3D animation explaining how a Tesla-style electric motor works.
Which one do you think did better?
Gemini 4 Argon is now globally available.
Built to solve your hardest problems from start to finish, the model brings frontier capabilities across coding, enterprise workflows, and cyber defense.
Apparently the huge 1 million token output limit is *PARTIALLY* felt in normal use, in the sense that it will go farther then we're used to, but to get up near that cool mil, it requires some engineering in Antigravity to push it to keep a loop going and going... and going.
Hit the usage limit on my @bot@grok heavy account a couple of days before end of week despite offloading to cursor, devin, claude, codex (!) for anything that required thinking.
I think having dashboards/visualisations of where quotas go needs to be standard, codex good here
@EMostaque@bot@grok ^ One of the many reasons why using these tools through browsers is usually best. There are extensions that do this for most AI web apps.
@ckhmod@aiarttoday420 This + the bunch of apps @get_artcraft rolled out. Most things most people need are out there somewhere either free, or affordable without expensive monthlies.
I don't think the spend is done growinng, but continue to wobble as new models come online worth paying for, and breaking into capabilities/usability in new areas.
The whole market (TAM) pie will keep growing enough for everyone, BUT... 👇
Why open-weight models that compress margins at the model layer are net positive for AI infra demand, exhibit 1001.
An open-weight token consumes *roughly* the same amount of compute as a frontier token for a similar size model.
^ What I'm talking about with my old broken record about once AI *can* do a thing, the cost flatlines in X months, then trends down toward commodity pricing.
THEN, later on, models that can run on consumer hardware can do it.
Eventually commoditization reaches the top and...???
