No democracy can progress if 14% of its population is invisibilised from the nation’s decision-making. Article 38 of the Constitution insists on social, economic and political justice. Political justice means that every community has a fair share in decision-making. Without political justice, there cannot be social or economic justice.

Some UBT MPs are also looking to defect to the BJP. Maybe we should ask the two PROMINENT MPs to tell us who ‘threatened’ these MPs to defect to the BJP? Why did the other 19 TMC MPs defect? Maybe it’ll take a month to blame someone. As the Qur’an says “Woe to every backbiter, slanderer” (104:1)

Why are large-scale defections to BJP so easy? Why are all these people running away? You cannot blame one ‘prominent MP’ for all your failures.

Not sure about that but let me share my experience. When I started a donation appeal in 2022 for families whose houses and shops were buldozed in Delhi, MP etc, I got a call from @asadowaisi, He asked me not to do any donation drive. He said, They'll come after you, as the govt is desperately waiting for an opportunity to go after you. Not because he didn't want people to donate to the victims. But because he was concerned about me, He didn't want me to get into this.
When I told him that the donation amount will directly go to victims account and not though my account. He said, In that case it's fine. But be very careful.

मैं अपना अनुभव बताता हूँ। जब मैंने 2022 में उन परिवारों के लिए डोनेशन की अपील शुरू की जिनके घर और दुकानें दिल्ली, MP वगैरह में बुलडोज़र से गिरा दिए गए थे, तो मुझे @asadowaisi का फ़ोन आया।

उन्होंने मुझे डोनेशन ड्राइव न चलाने के लिए कहा। उन्होंने कहा कि वे तुम्हारे पीछे पड़ जाएँगे, क्योंकि सरकार तुम्हें फँसाने के लिए किसी मौके का बेसब्री से इंतज़ार कर रही है। ऐसा इसलिए नहीं था कि वे नहीं चाहते थे कि लोग पीड़ितों को डोनेशन दें, बल्कि इसलिए था क्योंकि उन्हें मेरी फ़िक्र थी; वे नहीं चाहते थे कि मैं इस मामले में फँसूँ।

जब मैंने उन्हें बताया कि डोनेशन की रक़म सीधे पीड़ितों के अकाउंट में जाएगी, न कि मेरे अकाउंट के ज़रिए, तो उन्होंने कहा कि फिर ठीक है। लेकिन बहुत सावधान रहना..!

सांसद रूहुल्लाह मेहंदी लिखते हैं

संसद के पिछले शीतकालीन सत्र के दौरान, पूरा विपक्ष सदन में SIR और दूसरे मुद्दों पर विरोध कर रहा था।

हमेशा की तरह, @AITCofficial के सांसद सदन के बीचों-बीच (वेल में) आकर निडरता से विरोध की अगुवाई कर रहे थे। मैं भी वहीं था और मैंने एक प्रमुख मुस्लिम सांसद (जो TMC से नहीं थे) को यूसुफ पठान पर चिल्लाते और उन्हें विरोध से हटने के लिए कहते हुए सुना।

यूसुफ सच में विरोध से हट गए और अपनी सीट पर वापस आ गए। मैंने यूसुफ के चेहरे पर बदलाव देखा, वे लगभग कांप रहे थे।

उस सांसद के जाने के बाद, मैं यूसुफ के पास गया और पूछा कि क्या हुआ? वे डरे हुए क्यों लग रहे थे? यूसुफ ने मुझे बताया कि उस व्यक्ति ने उनसे कहा कि उन्हें BJP के खिलाफ विरोध नहीं करना चाहिए, और कहा, "तुम्हें क्या हो गया है? तुम BJP के खिलाफ विरोध क्यों कर रहे हो? खुद को दुश्मन क्यों बना रहे हो? वे गुजरात में तुम्हारा घर बुलडोज़र से गिरा देंगे।"

इसी बीच @MahuaMoitra आईं और मुझसे पूछा कि क्या हुआ। मैंने उन्हें बताया कि यूसुफ डरे हुए हैं क्योंकि उस व्यक्ति ने यूसुफ से कहा कि BJP गुजरात में उनका घर बुलडोज़र से गिरा देगी।

महुआ गुस्से में आ गईं और यूसुफ से कहा कि उस व्यक्ति की बात न सुनें, हम तुम्हारे साथ हैं, हम एक हैं और किसी की हिम्मत नहीं होगी कि वे तुम्हें या तुम्हारे परिवार को छू भी सकें।

@MahuaMoitra और @AITCofficial के लिए बुरा लगता है। आपने उनका साथ दिया, लेकिन उन्होंने और उनके जैसे लोगों ने ही आपकी पीठ में छुरा घोंपा।

AIMIM से सवाल पूछने वाले मुसलमानों, जब 2024 लोकसभा चुनाव में महाराष्ट्र में इंडिया गठबंधन ने 48 लोकसभा सीटों में से 1 भी मुस्लिम उम्मीदवार नहीं दिया तब तुम कहां थे..!

इधर ओवैसी ने समाजवादी पार्टी प्रमुख Akhilesh Yadav पर भी तंज कसते हुए कहा कि बहराइच की सियासी हलचल का असर लखनऊ तक साफ महसूस किया जा रहा है।

अब नजर इस सीट पर मुकाबले की सियासी गर्मी पर टिकी है।

The Union Government first carried out a document-driven SIR that deleted nearly 6.5 crore names from electoral rolls across 13 States and UTs. Now it wants a committee to study those very exclusions and build a permanent system for the identification, detention, and deportation of illegal immigrants.

#SIR will be used to create a permanent class of excluded Indians. The right to vote is the poor's only weapon against the powerful. Without it, the government will do what it pleases with them. We are already seeing reports of people being denied the benefits of government schemes.

Under the law, a deletion under SIR does not mean that a person is not a citizen. Twenty-seven lakh people are still under adjudication, and many may apply afresh for enrolment as voters through Form 6. The ECI itself has provided no data on the number of people it excluded because they were foreigners. Available data show that most of those excluded by SIR are Muslims, women, the poor, and migrants.

The government's own data show that our demography and population have stabilised and that our TFR is 2.0. Why do we need this committee, then? So that there can be constant paranoia and fear directed against Muslims.

This government loves making Indians waste their time on documentation. Sometimes it is KYC or SIR; sometimes it is uploading some document to some portal. But it cannot conduct a simple exam properly. Common people are scrutinised by the government, but the government cannot be scrutinised by us.
