Last week, our 7th graders explored colonial life in historic Williamsburg, Virginia!
This annual trip allows students to interact with historical figures, visit landmarks, and connect their classroom learning to real-life experiences.
ALDS schools don’t just support their own students—they help advance the LD field.
@AIMtoLearn, for example, is collecting national literacy data, training educators, and engaging in advocacy and outreach.

Our 8th graders had an unforgettable trip to the Tetons! 🏔️ In partnership with the Teton Science School, they explored the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem through hands-on learning, hiking trails, team challenges, and connecting what they’ve learned in the classroom to the world.

Recently, students explored tree physiology and learned why sugar maples need certain conditions for sap to flow. After testing their ideas, they tapped the trees and even tasted sap fresh from the source!
#Flashback Friday - Our first Symposium in 2013 took place in our training room at AIM - a space that’s now home to our Robotics and Engineering program. The event has grown over the years into a full conference in the ACC that is livestreamed to reach thousands of educators!
Our 4th graders had a great time visiting the Glencairn Museum! They explored medieval artifacts and architecture, bringing their Middle Ages studies in Interactive Humanities to life. 🏰
