I understand Alvarez is a very good player, no doubt about that. What I don’t understand is the obsession some people have with him.
He’s not a messiah coming to transform the club.
Barcelona need a striker. The club should identify its budget and stick to that plan. If the price goes beyond the budget, walk away.
For me, anything above €120M for any striker is a waste of money.
No player should make a club abandon its financial discipline. 🚶🏾♂️💙❤️
@QuickDirty8@Mhoni_Hiyst Cancelo at 32 is far better cucurella also attacking wise ,not only balde
Defensive Balde clears both
U would see it this season
Literally last season we were hailing him one of the most important cog in the team
@QuickDirty8@Mhoni_Hiyst Gordon is fundamentally different ,raphinha would deteriorated while seasons pass and if the current trajectory continue,Gordon would be a better player inside another 2 seasons
While if both cucu and Balde reach their peak,we are talking about 2 player who are in different tier.
@QuickDirty8@Mhoni_Hiyst He is not just better
He is far better
And we will see it next season anyway
Last season cucurella flopped badly just like how Balde flopped
The only reason he isn't that criticized is how low Chelsea expectations are compared to Barca's
@QuickDirty8@Mhoni_Hiyst Nah,on this player I agree with deco
Cucurella isn't worth a 50 m for us when I value Balde to be SIM or higher quality in 1-2 years
Also we need better CB ,better RB and striker before another lb
We bought Olmo, Gordon and now Javi Guerra. What about defenders ? We have Martin and Eric 🥵🥵
What about striker ? We can renew Ferran 🥵🥵
What about an RB ? We have Kounde 🥵🥵
Okay now let’s sign Gordon, Guerra and Olmo again
If Yan Diomande costs €120 million then I understand why Atletico Madrid wants 150 million Euros for Julian Alvarez.
The transfer market is now spooky and Chelsea and Liverpool are the ones that ruined it with their outrageous signings
Julián Álvarez to Barça. Do I want him? Absolutely.
But let’s stop acting like we’re signing the best player in the world. We aren’t taking Harry Kane from Bayern, Kvaratskhelia from PSG, or Michael Olise… yet Atleti talk about him like he’s on that level.
8 goals in La Liga and 10 in the UCL is a good not great season, but paying more than £120M+ would be a massive mistake. 💰❌
Great player? Yes.
€120M+ player and a war with ATM no thanks.
Every team plays to its strengths, and France are no exception.
Attack is literally the identity of this France team, and they punished Senegal with it after Senegal decided to mess around with them in the first half.
Say all you want, France remain one of the serious contenders. They have both World Cup experience and an abundance of talent.
Are they the best team in the tournament? Absolutely not.
But they are a genuine threat in front of goal and a danger to any defensive setup.
The real question is: what happens when they come up against a team that dominates possession?
Cherki cannot solve France’s midfield issues on his own; he could even become another problem when “The Dictator” is making a run into the box expecting a simple pass, only for Cherki to decide he’s the Robinho of his generation.
Koundé had a good game, but it’s still too early to start talking about him as the player we all know he can be.
By the way, France should be praying they don’t come up against a possession-based side.
They could ended of be a toothless team when they’re not in position of making a counter attack.
Ronaldo is so selfish that he always wants to score every goal for Portugal.
I can never have a player like that on my team.
The team needs to score, not just Ronaldo.
That's why he'll never be my GOAT—he doesn't play for the team.
@Mhoni_Hiyst He may be better than Olmo but if we don't end up selling Olmo(I would really like him to be sold)I see this position one of the least req position
