🧪 Abstract Wallpaper Configurator in #midjourney

After popular demand, I sat down to create some new wallpaper prompts for you! This post starts with v5.2 however we will also explore how to tweak this prompt even further in other models.

For the prompt, I opted for a straightforward approach focusing on Hydrogen. We paired that up with the shot type, a token for the smooth shapes we know from wallpaper and then implemented two attributes for us to play with:

Material closeup, [attribute 1] Hydrogen, [attribute 2], flowing shapes --ar 16:9 --style raw

Let's look at that first attribute slot. While we do this, the second attribute is set to "frosted" per default. The first attribute significantly impacts the overall aesthetic of the wallpaper. In the order of the pictures, I used "liquid", "blurred", "geometric", and "crystallised".

The liquid and blurred tokens give us an aesthetic we often see with these wallpapers. Geometric and fragmented spice it up with some interesting shapes.

Now, let's play with the second attribute. The first attribute has been set to "geometric" for the example.

The second attribute is used to describe what is happening to the Hydrogen. In the order of the pictures, I used "frosted", "melted", "molecular", and "electrified".

While frosted and melted influence the overall colour palette, molecular and electrified impact the general shape construction.

This is where the fun begins! Mix and match different words and create a large variety of cool wallpapers!
