There could be serious implications for individuals at Man City from the FA, new regulator or even legal authorities.
Fraud Act 2006 states that dishonestly making a false representation (such as false financial accounts) with the intention of making a gain or avoiding a loss can lead to individuals being imprisoned for ten years and facing an unlimited fine. “A representation is false if it is untrue or misleading and the person making it knows that it is or might be untrue and misleading,” says the Act.

@thecityshack@WayneSBarton I would quit while your lot are ahead! If the premier league looked into some of the decisions you got on the pitch too I would be shocked if you haven’t paid off refs too! Michael Oliver springs to mind 😉
I doubt your owners thought let’s keep it clean on the pitch.
The stupidest thing is how transparent the cheating was. Man City were averaging £600m more in commercial income than Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in the decade to 2020. It was stark raving obvious that those numbers could not be real for City’s global scale at that time.
Fair play for consistency. Colin (Prestwich) has been spectacularly wrong at EVERY stage of City's cheating, from a deluded "UEFA moved the goalposts" piece years ago (made him a folk hero among credulous fan base) to this pearler from just a few days ago.

@jonmufc44@sgevans What @sgevans is alluding to is that we need @ManCity to attract players to the league which is bullshit. If anything, Simon should attacking City more for cheating, if the league is "worse" without them then that's their own fault and even more reason to kick them out.
@sgevans This summer transfer window alone has had some crazy inflated prices with these rules. What would happen if the PL just allowed any spending? it would soon get to a point where no one could compete with the rich owners. Is that the premier league you want?
@bensmithppc Newcastle wouldn’t be bidding so high for Sesko if he wanted them more, this is pure desperation. Let’s hope Sesko picks the bigger club over the bigger wages!
