Happy 4th of July! 🙌
We join our fellow Americans in celebrating 250 years of American independence and freedom.
May we continue to strive for a more perfect union as envisioned by our nation’s founders.

Tomorrow, as America celebrates its 250th anniversary, we reflect on the deep and enduring connection between the Jewish experience and the American story.
For generations, American Jews have helped shape this nation while benefiting from the freedoms that have allowed Jewish life to flourish. For 120 years, AJC has advocated for the rights, safety, and democratic values that enable Jewish communities to thrive in the U.S.
Even as rising antisemitism reminds us that progress cannot be taken for granted, this milestone is an opportunity to draw strength from our history and recommit to building a strong, vibrant Jewish future rooted in America’s enduring promise.
As we celebrate Independence Day and approach America 250, we honor the veterans who have protected our nation.
We remember all who have defended our country, including the hundreds of thousands of American Jews who have served throughout history. We owe our freedom and enduring gratitude to every brave individual who has stood on the front lines.
1,000 days have passed since Hamas terrorists carried out the deadliest attack against the Jewish people since the Holocaust.
On October 7, 2023, 1,200 people were murdered and more than 250 were taken hostage. Terrorists massacred Israelis and citizens of more than 40 countries—murdering, raping, torturing, kidnapping, and brutalizing as many people as they could.
Today, we stand with the survivors and the families of the victims, while continuing to stand with the people of Israel and the global Jewish community as we confront ongoing threats.
IDF Home Front Command and Israel's Foreign Ministry met with Venezuela's Interior Minister to coordinate recovery efforts after last week's devastating earthquakes. We hope this marks the beginning of restoring the historic ties between Israel and Venezuela, severed in 2009.
The American people deserve to know what’s in any deal with Iran.
Call on Congress to demand full transparency, tie sanctions relief to full Iranian compliance, and reaffirm America’s commitment to stopping a nuclear-armed Iran.
Tell Congress: U.S. assistance to Israel is not just support for an ally—it is a strategic investment in America’s own security.
Stand against attempts by @RepThomasMassie to eliminate all U.S. security assistance to Israel, jeopardizing American lives and undermining American interests in the Middle East.
Join us and help ensure that Israel never stands alone! ACT NOW: https://t.co/fEkeVyqH37
For 250 years, American Jews have seen the U.S. as both a haven and a home.
While America has never been immune to antisemitism, it has offered Jews something they had never experienced elsewhere in the diaspora: full citizenship and the promise of equal rights.
We built thriving Jewish communities and created a uniquely American Jewish culture through theater, music, art, literature, and journalism.
Jews have invested in America in every way possible, and for 120 years, AJC has proudly worked to help ensure that America lives up to its promise of liberty, equality, and freedom for all.
@AJCGlobal India Representative, @arjunhardas organised an event in New Delhi, marking the 50th anniversary of the Entebbe rescue mission, in partnership with @IsraelinIndia, @chakranewz, @USIofIndia
The keynote speaker of the event, was the legendary lead pilot of the mission, Brig Gen (Retd) Joshua Shani. The rescue operation on the ground, Operation (Mivtza) Yonatan barely lasted for 90 minutes, but left a forever legacy that terrorism can actually be defeated, if the national will calls for it.

The U.S.-Iran MOU left a lot of questions unanswered. The agreement front-loads economic relief while deferring its hardest commitments—Iran's nuclear program, ballistic missiles, and proxy network—to the negotiations ahead.
Two weeks into the 60-day negotiating period, AJC's global experts weigh in on what the deal means for regional security, and the questions that still matter. Read the full analysis.

"Patriotism is not measured by the size of a flag or the loudness of a slogan, but by whether we are willing to defend the ideals that flag represents—especially when they are tested."
In the @PBPost, AJC Palm Beach County Director Laurence Milstein explores the significance of this Independence Day for American Jews, reflecting on the freedoms that have allowed Jewish life to flourish in the United States, the alarming rise in antisemitism since October 7, and why protecting America's democratic values requires vigilance from every generation.

Operation Entebbe: 50 years ago, on July 4, 1976, Israel carried out one of the most daring hostage rescue missions in modern history.
After Palestinian and German terrorists hijacked Air France Flight 139 and diverted it to Entebbe, Uganda, more than 100 Israeli commandos flew over 2,500 miles to rescue 102 hostages in a raid that lasted just about 90 minutes.
We honor the bravery of those who risked everything, including mission commander Lt. Col. Yonatan Netanyahu, who was killed while leading the operation.
We're at a pivotal moment for the future of American, Israeli, and global security as the Administration negotiates with Iran. I spent last week meeting with leaders in Congress to discuss my concerns with the recent agreement and advocate for a deal that cracks down on Iran's terrorist proxies, acknowledges Israel's right to self-defense, and ensures Iran can never acquire a nuclear weapon.
AJC welcomes today's announcement by the Treasury Department further targeting Hezbollah financial institutions. Last week's trilateral agreement and continued pressure on Hezbollah are critical to ensuring a more stable Middle East and a more peaceful future for Israelis and Lebanese.

For nearly five decades, Rabbi Andrew Baker, AJC Director of International Jewish Affairs, has helped shape AJC's global fight against antisemitism—advancing Holocaust remembrance, strengthening global Jewish life, and helping establish what became the world's leading working definition of antisemitism.
In a new interview with @JNS_org, Rabbi Baker reflects on his remarkable career, noting that while significant progress has been made in confronting antisemitism and rebuilding Jewish life, the work is far from over.
As he retires from AJC, we celebrate his extraordinary leadership and enduring impact.
