@TheDanHough Guess we’ll never know, but the odds of The Shrews (arguably any team) winning six out of seven must’ve been pretty decent (astronomical?), too…
@AndyRoden1 Really sad to hear this, I knew Allan from our time at VT… always full of stories and anecdotes, great character. Played cricket with him (yes, really!) in Sir Richard Branson’s back garden in Oxfordshire once - a memorable day, even if the memories are a little, er, ‘hazy’…
@ThatsSoVillage Start of game delayed as wife of stand-in skipper (who had attached pavilion keys to his key-ring so as not to forget them…) picked-up wrong set of keys in the morning then drove to Brighton, 55 miles away… 🤦🏼♂️😂
@ThatsSoVillage Can’t share the details (sad state of affairs) but this week’s cheating incident was, quite honestly, unbelievable. All for competitive League cricket, but why do some teams blatantly cheat? And what, if anything, can be done about…? I suspect nothing… 🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
@ThatsSoVillage Immediately after a change of umpire, the umpire who had been standing at one end for some time, instead of moving to square leg, inadvertently and inexplicably swapped ends at the end of the over and took up position at mid-off 🤦🏼♂️😂
@TheDanHough I get hiccups sometimes - is setting fire to oneself a proven cure? I’ve used a paper bag before - bit hit-and-miss, I find, but leaves less ash…
@mattgriffithsuk@rawlimark Seeing an RAF ‘plane take-off and immediately fly amongst vertically (from the airfield alongside the North Wales Coast railway) is the best I can do by comparison… and I bet it doesn’t even come close!
