Why I’m on the Aces -4.5
A’ja Wilson is in absolute MVP form (26.2 PPG / 9.7 RPG on the season, just dropped 28/14/4/2 on Portland). She’s been a monster the last stretch and the Liberty’s frontcourt is compromised without Satou Sabally (concussion) and Leonie Fiebich (foot). That’s a massive edge in the paint for Vegas.

Aces are the better team overall this year (19-8 vs Liberty’s 16-12). They rank higher in net rating, paint offense, and defensive metrics. Home court at Michelob ULTRA has been solid (8-5), and this is a clear revenge spot after going 0-2 against New York earlier (regular season + Commissioner’s Cup final).

Liberty are a league-worst style of road ATS team this season (around 3-11). They’re banged up, coming off a high-scoring win over a short-handed Sparks squad, and travel west for a late tip. Vegas should control the glass and the tempo enough to cover a two-possession number.

Liberty have owned this matchup lately (won both meetings this year). If Stewart and Ionescu go nuclear from deep and Wilson gets in foul trouble, the number is tight. But at -4.5 with the injuries and home form, I like the Aces side more than the juice suggests.
