दूध में जहर मिलाकर बेचने वाले हम हैं। मिलावटी पनीर, नकली घी, इंजेक्शन लगी सब्जियां, ये हम ही खाते भी हैं और बेचते भी हैं। मुर्गे को दवा देकर समय से पहले बड़ा करने वाला कोई और नहीं, हम ही हैं। पहाड़ों पर जाकर “प्रकृति प्रेम” का ज्ञान देते हैं और वहीं प्लास्टिक फेंक आते हैं। ट्रेन में खाते हैं और प्लेट बोगी में फेंक देते हैं, क्योंकि सफाई हमारी जिम्मेदारी नहीं, किसी और की है।

और फिर हर बात पर सिस्टम को कोसते हैं। व्यवस्था को गाली देते हैं। सरकार को जिम्मेदार ठहराकर खुद पाक-साफ बन जाते हैं। सच यह है कि सरकारें हमारे ही आईने का अक्स होती हैं। सिस्टम हमसे अलग नहीं, हम ही सिस्टम हैं। जब तक हम खुद को दोयम दर्जे का, गिरे हुए, सुविधावादी इंसान मानकर स्वीकार नहीं करेंगे, तब तक नोएडा ही नहीं, हर शहर में लाशें मिलती रहेंगी। और हम हर बार वही ढोंग करेंगे, थोड़ा रोना, थोड़ा गुस्सा, और फिर गहरी नींद।

नोएडा में युवा युवराज मेहता की दुखद मौत हो गई। और इसके बाद हमारा सोया समाज एक बार फ‍िर नींद से जाग गया। हमारा मुर्दा समाज ऐसी घटनाओं के बाद अक्‍सर कुछ हलचल करता है। सोशल मीडिया पर शोर मचा, कुछ गुस्से भरे पोस्ट लिखे गए, दो दिन बहस होगी … और फिर? फ‍िर कुंभकर्णी नींद में खर्राटे भरने लगता है। यही समाज, यही लोग वोट देते समय क्‍या सोचकर अपना उम्‍मीदवार चुनते हैं? तब तो हम जात‍ि और धर्म की अफीम चाटकर नशे में धुत रहते हैं। शहरों की बहुमंज‍िला इमारतों में लोग मर जाते हैं। उनकी लाश पड़ी रहती है। पता तब चलता हैं जब लाश सड़ जाती है और बदबू करने लगती है। हम ऐसे ही सड़ चुके हैं।

वोट तो हम मंद‍िर मस्‍ज‍िद के नाम पर देते हैं और सवाल पूछते हैं सरकार से। सरकार या अंबानी, अडाणी को कोसने से कुछ नहीं होगा। सच बात तो यह है क‍ि हम खुद दोयम दर्जे के, ग‍िरे हुए इंसान हैं। हम रोज खराब सड़कें देखते हैं, खुला नाला देखते हैं। लेक‍िन घटना से पहले उधर ध्‍यान देते हैं?

कभी आईने में झांक कर यह नहीं पूछते कि हम खुद क्या हैं?
