@mattfoy81 Same at The Lumineers gig at Cardiff Castle last year. Put me off going to any more concerts. Kept moving to find a better spot but people everywhere were the same. 😤 Felt I was the oddity.
@karen_d_oz@Brocklesnitch Vocal fry is like nails down a blackboard. First hint of it and it’s a no from me. I’m hoping its an affectation that will run is course and we can be rid of it.
@RobertLindsay I’m 2 weeks on from saying goodbye to my 12 year old Setter. It’s the little things that pull you up short, like having to pick up any food you drop on the floor, no bark in answer to the door bell and the house feeling still - hollow even. ❤️🩹
@seecretdoris1 I sailed through too and feel very fortunate. It’s good to see positive stories shared. I can’t contribute to conversations about the horrors so it’s good to be able to chip in here and mention the sheer bloody relief of being past ‘all that’.
@jessphillips My son’s 19 and the very idea of him being involved and ‘responsible’ for anything like this is laughable. What could possibly go wrong? 😂
Something I’ve been wondering for a while, what do parents in foreign countries say to their kids when they leave all the lights on??
Is there an equivalent to Blackpool illuminations?
Example (French obvs): “Amélie!! It’s ‘ow you say, lika ze Eiffel Tower in ‘ere no?”
@chigworld@Brighterdayvnl My first Police LP and I bought it from a market stall in 1980. Our house and all its contents then would have cost what HMV were charging at full price now!!
@mattjdavidson@looksunfamiliar I used to hide behind the settee at this and had occasional visions of a face at my bedroom window for years afterwards. Otherwise, I was fine. 😬
