@yarwoodwilliam You haven’t said which component of enhanced PIP these people are entitled to. If you are eligible for the enhanced care component only, you are not eligible for a motability car. For all we know, none of these “enhanced PIP” claimants have a motability car.

This morning, we had more children than adults in church. At times it was noisy and messy but we’re OK with that. We considered some deep questions about anger and valuing others. And we all prayed together, sang and danced. The church is not dying.

@parthaskar It was impossible to get a flu vaccine for my T1D 17 year old. Too old to get it in school, too young to get it in a pharmacy, GP wouldn’t book her when first asked and then ran out of vaccine.

@garethcrispin @TimBeilharz @faithinkids But I do worship in an intergenerational congregation so the church leader has a relationship with children and young people throughout their life, there is never a cliff edge to fall off or a need to learn how to go to church rather than youth group/Sunday school.

@garethcrispin @TimBeilharz @faithinkids I’m not sure how I feel about the concept of authority and responsibility passing from parents to church leaders. I think that church leaders maintain the same status throughout, but the parent passes A&R to the grown up child. I think child owned a&r is key to faith retention.

@charliebelllive Is it surprising though? There are only 108 bishops and only 1.5% of people identified themselves as gay in the 2021 census. Statistically, you would only expect one or two gay bishops if they reflect the national population.

@NclDiocese @BishopNewcastle God gave you free will but the Archbishop’s are trying to take it away. I feel sick reading this. The coercive control is so strongly apparent. There is no room for whatever is on your conscience. This abuse of power is how safeguarding failures are facilitated to continue.

@revdgarry @poetryasprayer If you have £16k or more in capital (including equity in a house that you do not live in, savings, investments excluding pension, current accounts, plus other more unusual forms of capital) then you can’t claim UC. It’s not just clergy hit by living in tied housing.
