Never too early to demonstrate Graduate Profile skills - K students' Gingerbread man project - productive collaborators, innovative problem solvers, mastery learners making adjustments based on new knowledge. Success!
@nicholsesky The PTA purchased grow lights for the hydroponic plant stand with funds from the garden grant. The lights arrived today! This will provide a hands-on learning experience all year! The students will be able to grow their own herbs and lettuce to taste.
Everyone needs support. Everyone needs encouragement. Everyone needs hope.
When you provide this for others, you make a difference for them...and you make your own life more meaningful.
You can’t discipline trauma. So true. A student returning to you from break may very well have experienced some type of trauma. Pay attention to emotions, behaviors and interactions.
@mcgatha @Think_Collab I really enjoyed it too! I am going to head up our BCPS crew for monthly refresher/practice sessions for any of our trained coaches. I’m excited!
What are your students good at?
That’s actually a really important question to consider. I think you’ll make more progress with kids when you’re trying to build on their strengths instead of just trying to fix their weaknesses.
