I thought the City of Ottawa had already lost all credibility. Guess I was wrong. But apparently it’s still okay to have too many employees on payroll busy dreaming up bylaw after bylaw to control our lives - sticking to the important stuff, as usual. https://t.co/ClRtL0FqTp
#ORHMA, along with other industry partners and associations, has signed a letter to Prime Minister Mark Carney calling for the renewal of the International Convention Attraction Fund (#ICAF), which is set to expire in March 2026.
As outlined in the letter, ICAF plays a critical role in helping Canadian cities compete for major international conventions and business events. The program delivers strong economic returns, supports jobs across the hospitality and tourism sector, and advances Canada’s competitiveness and trade diversification objectives.
With international events being planned years in advance, renewing ICAF is essential to ensuring Canada remains a destination of choice for high-value global gatherings.

@Cre047@ctvottawa You know you guvvies are already notoriously criticized for your lack of any value. I can’t believe some (NOT ALL) are pushing the WFH fraud so hard. Aren’t you ashamed? Don’t you yearn to make a contribution, even just to support local businesses?
