A learning mind holds the compass, while responsible media expands its horizons. Together, they shape humanity’s capacity to understand the world and shape its future. When the light of knowledge meets the power of the word, an individual’s ability to navigate change and drive transformation is strengthened. Education instills critical thinking, while media amplifies its impact across society.
In this context, during our participation in the panel discussion titled “Education and Media: Who Influences Whom?” at the Emirati Education Forum, moderated by my brother, H.E. Dr. Sultan Mohamed Al Nuaimi, we emphasized that the relationship between education and media is a partnership aimed at human development, deepening awareness, and empowering individuals to produce and verify knowledge rather than merely consume it.
To my dear students, I say: Cultivate inquisitive minds, discerning insight, and an unwavering determination to go beyond what is readily available and strive for what is possible. Do not surrender your minds to algorithms, nor let an abundance of information replace depth of understanding. Verify before you believe, reflect before you judge, and embody the courage to question and the boldness to innovate.

العقل الذي يتعلم يمتلك البوصلة، والإعلام المسؤول يفتح أمامه آفاق الرؤية؛ وبينهما تتشكل قدرة الإنسان على فهم العالم وصناعة مستقبله، فعندما يلتقي نور المعرفة بقوة الكلمة، تتعزز قدرة الإنسان على توجيه التحولات والمساهمة في تشكيلها؛ فالتعليم يؤسس للقدرة على التفكير، والإعلام يوسع أثره في المجتمع.. وفي هذا الإطار، أكدنا خلال مشاركتنا في جلسة "التعليم والإعلام: من يؤثر في من؟" ضمن منتدى التعليم الإماراتي، وبرفقة أخي سعادة الدكتور سلطان محمد النعيمي @Alnuaimi_Dr، أن العلاقة بين التعليم والإعلام شراكة في بناء الإنسان، وترسيخ وعيه، وتمكينه من إنتاج المعرفة والتحقق منها، لا الاكتفاء باستهلاكها.. ولأبنائي الطلبة، أقول: كونوا أصحاب عقول تسأل، وبصائر تميز، وإرادات لا تكتفي بما هو متاح، بل تسعى إلى ما هو ممكن، لا تمنحوا عقولكم للخوارزميات، ولا تجعلوا كثرة المعلومات بديلاً عن عمق الفهم؛ تحققوا قبل أن تصدقوا، وتأملوا قبل أن تحكموا، وامتلكوا شجاعة السؤال وجرأة الابتكار.

According to an international study, 96% of ChatGPT’s memories about users in its sample were saved by the system without being asked, and 52% were psychological inferences. Yesterday, the media addressed a broad audience. Today, each person can receive a message tailored to what the system knows about them—and what it thinks it knows. That is where the risk lies. This doesn’t mean we should stop using the tool. It means we should know what it remembers about us, review what is accurate, and correct or delete what isn’t.

بحسب دراسة دولية، 96% من ذكريات ChatGPT عن المستخدمين في عيّنتها حفظها النظام من تلقاء نفسه، و52% منها كانت استنتاجات نفسية. بالأمس كان الإعلام يخاطب جمهوراً واسعاً؛ اليوم يمكن أن يتلقى كل فرد خطاباً مصمماً على أساس ما يعرفه النظام عنه، وما يظن أنه يعرفه. هنا يكمن الخطر. وهذا لا يعني أن نتوقف عن استخدام الأداة، بل أن نعرف ما تحفظه عنا، ونراجع ما يصحّ منه وما يحتاج إلى تصحيح أو حذف.
