Precipitation chances for your Tuesday afternoon are on the rise. Here on May 11th, we are watching and forecasting a system set to start after 12 pm EDT tomorrow, and continuing for the following 18-24 hours into Wednesday mid-morning. For once, totals across the state will largely be above 0.5". Areas in southern Michigan along US-12 are projected to see the least, while the Keweenaw Peninsula is most at-large to see over 1". The good news is our groundwater deficit is replenished from the April rains, but our topsoil could use a little help. Additionally, some thunderstorms may mix in, allowing for a few locations to see localized pockets of 1"+.
