Data is second-nature to me so I have no problem using it as a tool to justify rationale. I chose 2 for the last skill area because I typically don’t expect resistance and may sometimes be caught off-guard by it.

A3: It always goes back to the Why and there should be data in place to support the initiative. Numbers don’t lie...
If the teacher is stuck with a fixed mindset, it may require a team effort to persuade him/her.

A2: Everyone wants to feel that their voice is heard and that they have some sense of control over the practices put in place at their campus. An effective leader will at least be open-minded, receptive to other ideas and listen actively.

1. Admin and TL set the tone and expectations at a campus but ultimately we are all adults and professionals, so responsibility lies with the individual to accept assigned tasks and buy into campus initiatives, new and old.
