Upon nearly DYING at age 19, I asked for an ablation and was told MY DAD would have to approve it. Years later in the ER, doctor asked MY HUSBAND like I wasn’t even there.

@hotdiggityDR Same. First time I was an adult and unmarried; “your dad will have to approve this.” Second time in ER, doctor turned and ASKED MY HUSBAND if he wanted me to have it done like I wasn’t even there. Now single and living somewhere it’s possible so RUSHING.

The FIRST time I asked for an ablation was before Obama was president. I was already an adult but was unmarried and was told MY DAD would have to sign off on it.
