I’m really delighted to share that I am to be appointed King’s Counsel.

To quote the very exciting letter I received yesterday:
“I am pleased to be writing to you on behalf of the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP, to let you know that The King has approved her recommendation that you should be appointed one of His Majesty’s Counsel.”

Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way, including my wonderful colleagues, clerks, clients and family. A hearty congratulations to the other 104 new silks.

The provisional date for the appointment is 24 March.
