The SEPARATION of powers is the most basic principle of any real democracy:
Executive (government)
Judiciary (Courts)
Legislature (Parliament).

It's bad enough that the UK's system gives one party total control over both Parliament and government..

But for the Executive to pass laws dictating the FACTS on which the Supreme Court makes its decisions... WE ARE NOT A DEMOCRACY!
