36 people today made it 2 Ellen Strange Cairn, the spot where she was murdered by her husband in 1861, on Holcombe Moor to remember her & read out names of all 89 people killed from domestic abuse in last year. Main speaker was Andrea Egan. Another 40 attended event in church.

7 in 10 people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer are told there is no treatment available to them, and half die within just three months.

At today’s Pancreatic Cancer UK Treatment Breakthroughs Reception, I heard the heartbreaking story of Elizabeth and Peter, who lost their daughter within weeks of a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Despite their devastating loss, they continue to campaign for better care and support for other families. Their courage and determination are truly inspiring.

We must do more to improve treatment options, early diagnosis and access to specialist care.
