@03upasana, first and foremost, is a woman and a citizen of this country.

Every citizen is entitled to protection from the ruling government and the police administration in circumstances such as these. Publicly heckling and intimidating a young woman sets a DANGEROUS PRECEDENT for society at large.

But what place do moral values, public conscience, or democratic principles have under @BJP4India's GOONDA RAJ? The very state that ought to uphold the law appears to shield those accused of resorting to hooliganism.

One is left to wonder whether such individuals will ever fall within the ambit of the newly enacted Anti-Social Act or does that law exist only to target and unlawfully detain Opposition workers?

The police administration's silence and inaction raise profound questions about its commitment to uphold the law and protect ordinary citizens.

This nightmare must end.

The people of Bengal deserve better.

Women deserve safety.

All funds held in the party’s bank accounts have been fully and transparently disclosed. The party has duly reported all donation transactions to the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Income Tax Department. These disclosures are published annually on the ECI’s website and are available in the public domain.

The details relating to electoral bonds are already available with the Government of India, as the bonds were issued by the State Bank of India (SBI) and subsequently submitted to the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

The Enforcement Directorate’s decision to freeze the party’s bank accounts is a politically motivated act. We strongly condemn this arbitrary and illegal action. The misuse of investigative agencies to target political opponents has become a hallmark of the BJP’s politics and represents a serious assault on democratic institutions and the principles of a level playing field.

BJP murdered democracy today in broad day light on the streets of Kolkata.

A peaceful, court-approved protest faces violence by lumpens while police appear inactive. If the opposition can't protest safely, democracy itself is under threat!

In a shocking display of mob violence and hate-driven politics, 41 of our workers were brutally assaulted, leaving many with grievous injuries. Women workers were also subjected to molestation during the attack!

Despite the scale of the violence, the police administration failed to provide timely assistance. Our injured workers had to be shifted to SSKM Hospital with little to no support, while those entrusted with maintaining law and order stood by as mute spectators to the atrocities unleashed upon the Opposition.

Every act of violence, every injustice, and every attempt to silence democratic voices will be remembered.
