regarding elden ring sote, so far the world design is fantastic - lots of cool stuff to find and explore. Lots of cute, creative scenarios and layouts - cool lore.
Weakest part for me is undeniably legacy dungeon bosses. Blackgoal knight felt more satisfying than any of'm so far
Commander gaius' implementation, though, honestly puzzles me as a combat designer. What was the intended goal of this encounter?
There's so much potential there for an excellent boss if they just tone down the hitboxes and his overall movement speed. I suspect they will.
@_NATSU_KAZE_ Nah, I disagree - ER stayed reasonably fair - although certainly less 'honest' than Dark Souls. Most boss attacks were telegraphed and avoidable/actionable, even Malania.
Whereas at the moment SOTE most legacy bosses sort of feel like various levels of pre-nerf radahn jank
